Soviet Folding Board, Karelian Birchwood, 1940-1960
Wonderful wooden folding board with inlays of Karelian birch. The individual square colours are hardly identifiable, but the Karelian birch has a wonderful golden glow and very nice and elegant grain. The board came together with my Soviet Chess Set, 1940-1960.
Total size is 350 x 350 mm, playing size is 292 x 292 mm. The individual squares measure 35 x 35 mm.
