Philippine Staunton Chess Set, 3.93" (10 cm), A.P.F.v.Rolland, 1960-1980

Tournament sized chess set with a King size of 10 cm (3.93") in the Philippine Staunton pattern. The pieces are made from Kamagong and Narra wood. The design of the set is post-WWII. The set comes in a red leatherette fitted box, which is typical for the German distributor A.P.F.v.Rolland, who is known for having imported chess sets from the Philippines from the 1950's to the 1970's.
