Spanish Chess Set, 17th Century Reproduction

Spanish Chess Set, 17th Century Reproduction

This is the chess set I bought as a student from my first self earned money. Back then, I had no clue of antique patterns whatsoever, I simply liked the looks. Retrospectively, it marked the beginning of my collection, even if I had no intention to collect at that time.

It is supposed to be a reproduction of an antique 17th century Spanish set and board. Unfortunately, as the pieces are made of resin, many of them did not survive the younger age of my kids. Especially the Knights have (partly) turned deaf by now.
