Based on the valuable research of Barbara and Hans Holländer, this wonderful book gives a detailed insight in the history and members of the oldest German chess club, which was founded in Berlin as early as 1803. Apart from descriptions of club life, the book is giving a short biography of its members. One chapter is dedicated to chess pieces.
The book was published in Berlin on the occasion of an exhibition with the same title from 3 October to 16 November 2003.
