English Chess Set attributed to William Hallett, 1835-1845

An English chess set dating to probably 1835-1845, the style of which is attributed to William Hallett of High Holborn. The pieces are made of boxwood and ebony. The king size is 8 cm. The set came with the original box lined on the inside with the same moss green felt that was attached to the underside of the pieces.
