My book "On the Collecting of Chess Sets"
A lot of work went into it and it took a long time, but now I can announce that my book "On the Collecting of Chess Sets" was finally published. As you can see in the little video clip, the format is a bit larger like a coffee table book. It provides 252 pages of comprehensive information and includes an extensive bibliography.
Experienced collectors and beginners will find interest and value. A book cannot replace the experiences that each collector must make themself, but it can provide orientation. It covers topics such as piece types and patterns, materials and well-known manufacturers. It is also intended to give suggestions on how to find a focus for collecting. The explanations are supported and illustrated with examples from my collection. It is therefore equally suitable as a reference and as casual reading.
The book is now available in stores (including Amazon.de and Amazon.co.uk). The retail prices are EUR 65.95 for the paperback version and EUR 79.95 for the hardcover version.
